I remember
Playing at the lake
You would smile and
Slide into the water
(Graceful little otter)
and I’d follow you,
flow into your world.
Webbed feet, oily pelt
(cute little bark)
of course it’s magic
how you and me
became one and the
      same
two otters and a bit of
   child’s play
to pass the summer nights.
